    Must have Positive Attitude

More than enthusiastic reader of Rescue Me, He’s Wearing A Moose Hat is seeking other readers who crave the experience of sharing Ms Halperin’s most personal (as well as hilarious) relationship moments in the dating scene apres 50.

So honestly and cleverly displayed is her indomitable determination to become whole again following the premature death of her beloved husband. Can she do it? You betcha!

Contemporary and courageous, Brimming with humor, insightful into the human condition, a MUST read !!!

Sherry Halperin’s book captures the tribulations of post-50 dating and turns them to laughter, beginning with her terrific title. What better epitomizes a woman’s dating dilemma than a guy who shows up wearing a moose hat? And this is a true story! What strikes me about Ms. Halperin’s saga is the sheer courage with which she faced the senior singles scene. Intrepidly, systematically, she went about dating as if her life depended on it, only to learn forty dates later, that it most certainly did not. Moose Hat offers encouragement, empathy and, best of all, laughter, to any woman who finds herself suddenly single again. Which is most of us. There are far worse fates than being alone, and Sherry Halperin gives us hilarious glimpses of several dozen. The fact that she turned disaster into success in this highly entertaining book, is a message in itself.

I picked this book up, laughed and laughed and didn’t put it down until I was done. Sherry Halperin has such a flair for comedic writing. I’m 38, married (so not quite in the demographics of this book) but found this book to be a great read, one that I couldn’t put down! I have recommended it to all my friends who are in the crazy but wonderful world of dating as well. You will laugh, I promise….

I bought this book for my aunt (again) after reading a review in a magazine. The stories in the book were a letdown. My aunt and her friend had much better stories of their own…This little tale tops anything in the book: A man took an elderly lady out to dinner (for which he insisted upon paying), then, when she wouldn’t “give in” at the end of the date, he demanded, “At least you could give me my $10 back!” True story. Don’t waste your money on this book.

What a fantastic read and actually quite relevant to a single woman in her mid thirties. Extremely funny and ever so witty. Ms Halperin paints such a vivid picture you are immediatley immersed and it’s a definate “can’t put it down ” read.
